Five years ago, Keith Thompson made a decision to change his life. At 280 lbs, he wasn’t satisfied with his weight or his health. So, starting with step classes at a local gym, he dedicated his life to fitness and lost over 70 lbs. Several years later, fellow step classmates — who had long since noticed Keith’s contagious energy and positive attitude — suggested that he’d find success as an instructor. He took their advice and found more than success. He found his passion. In 2009, he became certified with the AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) and started teaching step and cycle classes at a nationwide gym. Despite his classes being offered in 3 different locations, in less than a year, the demand for his classes outgrew the space of the gym. And KTX Fitness was born.
Keith understands that being fit isn’t just about the number on the scale: it’s about a lifestyle. It’s about believing that you deserve to be healthy. It’s about dedication and hard work. It’s about celebrating and enjoying life. Keith brings this infectious passion for health, wellness, and most importantly, self-love, to every class that he teaches.
